Bedford Academy Students Secure Places at Prestigious Dance Colleges

Two talented students from Bedford Academy’s Dance Academy are celebrating exciting next steps in their performing arts journeys after receiving offers from leading professional performing arts colleges.

The students have successfully secured places at Performers College and the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and BIMM (British Institute for Modern Music), highly respected institutions known for training the next generation of professional dancers and performers.

Both students have shown exceptional dedication, creativity and resilience throughout their time at Bedford Academy, balancing the demands of academic study alongside intensive dance training. Their success is a reflection not only of their individual talent and commitment, but also of the high-quality provision and support within the Academy’s Dance programme.

Kyara Scott was given an on the day offer from Performers College, and Brianna Robinson was selected out of 500 applicants for one of LIPA’s 34 spaces and was also offered a place at BIMM.

Gaining a place at institutions such as these are highly competitive, requiring rigorous auditions and a strong demonstration of technical ability, performance quality and potential.

Vicky Atkinson, Head of Dance at Bedford Academy, added:

“We are so incredibly proud of Brianna and Kyara. It’s been an incredible journey for them starting with us in year 7 to now and they have become outstanding performers and role models. I am excited to see what comes next for them both!”

We look forward to seeing them continue to flourish as they take the next steps towards careers in the performing arts and wish them every success in this exciting new chapter.
