Sixth Form Expectations
We have high standards of our Sixth Form students and expect them to be role models for the younger students at BA. The Sixth Form pastoral team monitor student conduct, attendance and punctuality closely. Students risk losing their home study or position in Sixth Form if standards are not met.
Sixth Form students have a professional dress code (see below). Sports Academy students are permitted to wear their Academy sports kit around the building.
Sixth Form Dress Code
The Bedford Academy dress code is professional business dress. Students are expected to dress in clothes that are appropriate for working in a business environment.
Students must ensure that their clothing is not likely to be viewed as offensive, revealing or distracting.
Men:
- Smart Trousers
- Shirt
- Tie
- Smart shoes (no sandals, flip-flops or trainers)
- Round or V necked jumper (optional)
- Jacket or suit (optional)
- Smart coat
- No denim material, logos or slogans
- No excessive jewellery or extreme haircuts
Ladies:
- Trousers or knee length skirt (no leggings or skinny fit trousers)
- Shirt or smart top
- Smart jumper or top (optional)
- Smart shoes (no sandals, flip-flops, or trainers)
- Jacket or suit (optional)
- Smart coat
- No denim material, logos or slogans
- No excessive jewellery or extreme haircuts
